INVISIBLE CITIES

IRENE INTERPRETATION

 BRIEF

THE

In one of my concept development classes at my college, we were challenged to take a passage from Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities, and pair visuals to them in a style of our choosing

The main challenge was that our visuals couldn't be too literal, we needed to interpret the passage with visual metaphors to create more conceptual richness.

I picked the city of Irene from Cities and Names 5 for it's imagery and it's potential for fun visual metaphors, like aliens and explosions representing bright lights and explosions.
